Janine Antoni has some really fascinating pieces of artwork. A lot of her work is really thought provoked and and a lot of meaning to it. I really like the rope that she built to go through out her whole exhibit and how the rope consisted of different material and was not only made by her but by people in her life that are important to her. I noticed that through working on all her pieces of art, she learned so many new things, such as spinning thread to make rope or the act of tight roping. It was really inspiring to see her achieve all of these things.
One of my favorite pieces was the one of her waling the tightrope over the horizon of the beach that she grew up on. It was really amazing how when the rope dipped as she walked across it, it looked as if she was walking on the horizon itself. That was a really cool video.
Another factor that was really interesting about her art was the fact that she used herself in all of it. She used her hair as a brush in one, and she body in the rest. She really projected herself in her art and made it very very personal it that way.
